Making ringtones

I need an mp3 editor for making ringtones. Downloaded Audacity, would rather have a program that doesn't require a degree in computer science.

If you have a motorola phone they will send you the software free of charge. Even if you don't have a moto phone their software is good as you can just save the ringtone to you pc and then transfer to your phone via card reader or USB.

I use Motorola Phone Tools and it works great. As stated before,

NSSB, believe me, Audacity is one of the easier sound editing programs to use and once you figure out how everything works, you can do a lot of good work in no time.

Because you're having a little trouble getting started, I went ahead and created a tutorial video for you that will walk you through the steps of:
- Installing Audacity
- Opening and shortening your sound file
- Exporting it as an MP3 (using LAME MP3 encoder) to upload to your phone
